LET THERE BE BEER

9 WHITE DEER BREWERY WAS BROUGHT ABOUT BY TWO PEOPLE, GORDON LUCEY AND DON O'LEARY.

Gordon's background is of a Marine Engineer. He built his own semi automated stainless steel nano brewery and found a passion, making great beer is just as good as drinking it.

Don has been in the licensed trade for many years and runs the most famous pub between Cork and Kerry, The Mills Inn. It's Don who brings 9 White Deer to the purveyors and lovers of Irish craft beer.

Our Vision

To create and share memorable experiences for all our friends and community through our innovative beers in a sustainable way that respects our environment and our team’s values.

Our Mission

Our mission is to continue to be a leading independent brewery, through innovation which will embrace market needs and consumer desires.

We will achieve this by collaborating transparently with our suppliers, respecting and valuing our team, our customers, and all worthy stakeholders.

PROCESS

So, how does one go about brewing a fantastic tasting beer?

It all starts with the mashing. Freshly cracked malted barley enters the mash tun where it meets the brewing water (liquor). The enzymes in the malt convert the starched into sugars. Read more about our brewing process.
